Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics including the Universal Analytics features as well as the User ID feature a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your device, to help analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on the service, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of us, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the services, compiling reports on activity and providing other services relating to activity and internet usage to us. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Universal Analytics also allows us to analyse the activities on the website across devices (e.g. access via laptop and later via tablet). This is made possible by the pseudonymous assignment of an ID to a user. Such an assignment takes place, for example, when you register for a user account with us or log in to your user account. However, no personal data is forwarded to Google. Even if additional functions are added to Google Analytics with Universal Analytics, this does not mean that a restriction of data protection measures such as IP masking or the browser add-on is associated with this. The use of the user ID function enables us to analyse interactions with you and other users on a person-specific basis. For this purpose, we provide the user accounts with an identifier that can only be assigned to the respective user account (“User ID”). The User ID function processes users’ personal data in order to optimise the website and to adapt them to users’ needs.

We would like to point out that the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” has already been added to Google Analytics on the website in order to ensure that IP addresses are only recorded anonymously (so-called IP masking).

We also use Google Analytics to analyse data from ads and the Double-Click-Cookie for statistical purposes.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

However, we only use Google Analytics, the functions of Universal Analytics and the User ID function if and insofar as you have given your prior consent for this via the cookie banner. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. The access to the information takes place in accordance with § 25 para. 1 p. 1 TTDSG.

If you wish to prevent the use of Google Analytics, the functions of Universal Analytics and the User ID function after granting the corresponding consent, you have the option of revoking your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website. However, we draw your attention to the fact that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all the functions of the website without restriction or at all if you do not give or revoke your consent to the use of Google Analytics.

Google Ads

We use the online marketing tool Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”).

Google Ads enables us to draw your attention to the website offered by us by means of advertisements. If you access the website via a Google ad, Google Ads sets a cookie on your end device.

Google delivers the advertising material via so-called “ad servers” and we use so-called ad server cookies, which are used to measure success. This provides us with information on the success of individual marketing measures. We do not use the ad server cookies to identify you. They are only stored as analysis values.

In addition, Google is able to recognise your browser through cookies set by Google. Through the use of Google Ads, Google receives the information that you have called up a part of our website or viewed an advertisement from us. If you are registered with Google, Google can assign your visit to our website to your account. If you do not have a Google account, Google can still recognise and store your IP address.

By using Google Ads, your browser establishes a connection with the Google servers. We ourself do not collect any personal data from you with the marketing measures, but only grant Google the opportunity to collect data. We then only receive statistical evaluations of which ads were clicked on; no other data is made available. We cannot identify users on the basis of the evaluations transmitted by Google.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

We only use Google Ads if and insofar as you have previously given your consent to this via the cookie banner. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Access to the information takes place in accordance with § 25 para. 1 s. 1 TTDSG.

If you want to stop the use of Google Ads after giving your consent, you have the option to revoke your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website However, we draw your attention to the fact that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all the functions of the website without restriction or at all if you do not give or revoke your consent to the use of Google Ads.

LinkedIn Ads

We use LinkedIn Ads for our marketing initiatives, provided by LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA (“LinkedIn”).

Whenever you visit our website, your browser establishes a direct connection with the LinkedIn servers. LinkedIn is based in the USA and the data processed by it is transferred to servers in the USA. Through this, LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website from your IP address. If you click on a LinkedIn ad, LinkedIn can associate this information with your user account. We use LinkedIn Ads for marketing and optimization purposes, especially to place relevant and interesting ads, improve reporting on campaign performance and to avoid showing you the same ads multiple times.

If you want to stop the use of LinkedIn Ads after giving your consent, you have the option to revoke your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website. However, we draw your attention to the fact that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all the functions of the website without restriction or at all if you do not give or revoke your consent to the use of LinkedIn Ads.
